New Research on Narrative Encoding

Dr Bruce Long is producing theory and hypotheses to be tested by statistical means augmented with neural imaging coupled with stimulus and elicited responses. The experiments to test this theory will involve evoking/eliciting responses from participants who have been exposed to certain narratives. We intend to compare the neural outputs of those participants with a vested interest in and doxastic commitment to those narratives outputs with participants who have no such commitments. We also hope to measure intra-subject changes over time based upon updated information and learning, and especially with information that requires revising previous facts.
