When 'Smart' Intellectuals do Dumb Propaganda

Jordan Peterson recently joined the chorus of propagandists attacking the atheist CPC of China. Peterson's personal bugbear is socialism, having been dealt with unfairly by socialist social justice cancelly type people himself, according to him. Possibly true. Probably true, even. Perhaps there were other issues too. Outspoken - or even just open - atheists certainly do get cancelled by megacultists and parareligious fanatics in academia. Cancel culture is quite stupid, and fairly widespread. (That being said: protesting gross historical and systematic abuse by trying to change social systems is not cancel culture, but that's a matter for another post.) Pursuant to CPC bashing, Peterson recently threw his considerable Tweet weight behind the Daily Mail tabloid and its usual spaghetti-against-the-wall nonsense. A whole bunch of misatheist, infidelophobic, megacultist delusionals who hate the atheist, godless CPC accuse them of nasty things.
Wow. Big surprise.
Sorry - not sorry. All of these nutty misatheist megacultists have long histories of misatheism and infidelophobic hatred of unbelievers. They're for the most part (a few opportunistic clerics notwithstanding) sick and delusional and are not to be believed. Their alarmist, religiously motivated propaganda is not evidence and does not resemble reliable evidence.
Peterson should know better. Megacultists lie. About existence and experience, and pretty much everything else. Everyone lies, but megacultists have adopted it as a 24x7 working disposition about the whole of reality. (Admittedly this is not unexpected for adult delusionals with imaginary friends, who are clearly mentally ill. I guess under those circumstances they really believe it, but it's ludicrous misinformation nonetheless.) Here's some proper thinking on the organ harvesting allegations. In 2016 I lived, was married, and worked in Hubei province (I was married in Wuhan). My wife was a former obstetrician and current head ENT nurse at the Number 2 Hospital in Yichang. She really wanted to move overseas for personal reasons. My ex wife was not the only person with this disposition. Many people want to leave their country of origin permanently, including me. Now, since I, and many other Western people, know many many Chinese professionals - including those working in hospitals - who want to leave China (there are also many who do not want to leave and are very comfortable there) it stands to reason that the US State Department could easily organise for some of these people to have special Visas and Green Cards. In other words: there is no iron curtain that stops such informed, and unbiased (or less biased), witnesses from being identified and being moved out of China permanently. My ex wife and many others like her could easily acquire solid evidence of any organ harvesting practices with limited to no risk of detection. Even failing this they could give more balanced testimony (my ex wife was an atheist who wisely avoided Buddhist priests and Falun Gong because she realised they were basically unreliable, delusional, sociopaths).
Moreover, I have met a lot of staff from these hospitals, and, on an interpersonal and social-psychological note: they're largely properly socialised, decent human beings and they would not stand for such practices or programs any more than people in Western communities. The PLA and CPC have real protest power in China, and even though there is plenty of social and community division, Maoists and Marxists, and their more marginal CPC fellows, don't happily truck the abuse of their less wealthy relatives: even the delusional megacultist ones. A program and process of acquiring reliable witness accounts and evidence could easily have been done en masse by now. Easily. But - nothing.
People like Peterson just have deep, and obvious, personal hatred of socialism. I am a political absurdist so I don't care at all. However, other facts are salient. Peterson went to Russia for his medical treatment, and apart from the fact that his brain was probably (almost certainly) damaged by psychoactive and other drugs: Russia is the home of the Patriach and theist Putin, so who knows what kinds of political deals, relationships, and arrangements went on? Did the Patriarch use the FSB to organise some Monarch style hypnotism sessions for Jordan while he was under? Okay - that's perhaps a bit of a stretch (although - we're all aware of the way the FSB operates) but he'll never know!
By way of a balanced and sensible assessment of the situation regarding alleged organ harvesting in China: the dearth of real, serious material evidence and unbiased testimony is damning. There should be dozens - nay - hundreds or thousands of Chinese atheist and non religious professional medical practitioners who would be willing, and are able, to provide evidence of this mass organ harvesting nightmare. There are none. Not even a few.
That hasn't stopped Western misatheist and anti-socialist fanatics - a lot of them actual delusionals with imaginary friends - from persistently pushing misinformational propaganda. This 'independent people's tribunal', for example, is a religious Western (Australian) charity, so: useless, and almost certainly misinformation, if not outright disinformation (fiction.) These kinds of people are a large part of the Daily Mail tabloid readership, as are uninformed, not well read, and largely ignorant right wing conservatives.
Keep in mind that there have been real recorded cases of organ trafficking - involving a kind of limited harvesting for black market purposes - in New York, in Great Britain, and across Europe. So with a nation as large as China, one could fairly expect some real offenses. However, trafficking is completely different to the large-scale systematic and government-sanctioned abuses being claimed by these various misatheist megacultists.
Where offenses associated with abuses of China's hospital systems for organ donations have occurred, the CPC's response has been unremittingly punitive:
Note that the above reported occurrences are about a fraudulent use of existing transplant systems for acquiring organs to sell on the black market for profit - thereby allowing people to bypass the usual waiting lists. No dissidents or minorities are involved: only victims of car wrecks and brain hemorrhages. It has nothing to do with systematic harvesting of dissident's organs. Notably, however, the BBC article headline is very ambiguous. In fact it's outright misleading clickbait. It says harvesting, when that's not the real situation addressed in the article at all. What happened in that case was trafficking for profit using existing hospital systems and with actual accident and brain death victims as the donors.
Peterson should - does - know better. I guess he is just being pragmatic. Life is short and in the end - perhaps he feels it is more important to support his daughter. It is certainly true that relational/social aggression is rife in academia.
