Rationale:
This course is an intermediate to advanced undergraduate course designed to make scholars familiar with various topics in naturalistic metaphysics, or scientific metaphysics, and the non-a-priorist turn in metaphysics.
Aims:
To make the intermediate to advanced philosophy scholar competent and well-versed in the primary features and concepts of, and issues or controversies surrounding contemporary naturalistic metaphysics. The emphasis is on new approaches to physicalism and the rejection of a-priori conceptual analysis and a-priori or armchair metaphysics in analytic philosophy.
